Since 2017, Harvard Law School’s Fashion Law Lab has brought big names from the world of haute couture and beyond to HLS for a Winter Term course that consists of interactive workshops featuring case studies on fashion law. This year, the course — co-taught by Nana Sarian, a general counsel in fashion and senior legal, business affairs and sustainability advisor of luxury brands, and Rebecca Harris, an associate in Gunderson Dettmer’s Boston office in the Licensing, Strategic Partnering & Commercial Transactions group — featured a diverse group of international guest lecturers from across the industry, including Vogue China Editor-in-Chief Margaret Zhang, supermodel, actress and activist Joan Smalls, womenswear designer Angel Chang, rapper and artist Ja Rule, “Sneaker Law” co-authors Kenneth Anand and Jared Goldstein, TikTok influencer Olivia Ponton, and Dundas brand co-founders Peter Dundas and Evangelo Bousis.
