The 10 most important things to remember for EIP Week.

As you head into the last weekend before EIP, review Actions to Take the Weekend Before EIP to make sure you are fully-prepared and ready to go.

If you didn’t get an interview you really wanted through the lottery and are not able to add it during the Add Period, you may be wondering what to do. You still have a few options for trying to meet with firms of interest.

Each year many students consult the employment evaluations submitted by their peers to differentiate firms, prepare for interviews and make decisions on offers.

If you have last-minute questions or concerns about EIP, we encourage you to take advantage of our extended drop-in advising hours tomorrow 10-12 and 2-4 ET and our live chat, available tomorrow from 12-1 p.m. ET.

Have a quick question? Want to talk to someone who went through EIP last year and has “been there, done that?”

While your focus right now is on EIP next week, callback interviews will be here before you know it. Some employers may extend callback invitations as early as the same day as your EIP screening interview.

Virtual interviewing has many upsides. You can control your environment, have notes on-screen for quick reference, and not rush from one place to the next for interviews.

If you have multiple offers from Preview, remember you need to narrow your list down to no more than three offers.

Now that your bids are submitted, you may be wondering how you can best use the next two weeks to prepare for EIP interviews. Review the Actions to Take Prior to EIP page to ensure you put your best foot forward at EIP.

With Preview wrapping up and EIP ahead, you may find yourself in the enviable but difficult position of having to choose between multiple offers. There are several different factors you may wish to consider when narrowing down your choices.

As you approach EIP, a callback, or any other interview, many things are out of your control. Your grades and previous experience are what they are.

Branding is important, even in the hiring process, and when it comes to the legal profession, there is no better brand than Harvard Law School. When listing an email address on your resume or other application materials, it is important to use your HLS email address.

Please double-check your EIP bids to make sure you bid on the correct location for each firm. If you inadvertently bid on the wrong location, please email ocs@law.harvard.edu no later than 5pm ET on Friday, July 15.

After the bidding deadline on Friday and following conflict review, OCS will run a lottery to determine your interview schedule. The lottery algorithm assigns interviews by trying to maximize the number of interviews you get with your top ranked firms.

Remember, if you interviewed with a firm through Preview, you should NOT bid on that employer for EIP. If you applied to a firm through Preview and were not invited to interview, you may bid on that firm for EIP if you remain interested.
