These lists should help you assess whether you have taken the all of the necessary steps to make sure your student account and financial aid are in place for registration.
Entering 1L Checklist
- July 25 – Your First Student Account Notice will be sent.
- July 25 – First day you can sign up for direct deposit within your student account in order to receive cash advances.
- July 31 – Deadline to submit a Health Insurance Waiver with University Health Services.
- August 10 – Deadline to review and complete the Student Financial Services (SFS) Orientation module, which will provide a helpful primer designed to help orient students with HLS’s Student Financial Services Office and the various forms of support it provides. Details will be sent to your HLS email account in July.
- August 10 – Deadline to have direct deposit set up within your student account in order to receive an early books and supplies advance (if eligible).
- August 10 – Deadline to have any student loan included in the calculation of the books and supplies cash advance (if eligible).
- August 10 – Deadline to secure student loan funding for which you have applied be reflected on your student account to offset charges by the August 15 fall registration clearance due date.
- August 15 – Deadline to have your student account notice paid (financial aid or payment).
- August 16 – Date your books and supplies allowance early cash advance will be released to you (if eligible and you have setup direct deposit). Note: We are releasing the entire academic year amount ($1650) for books and supplies included in your student budget, not just the fall semester portion.
- August 22 – Cutoff deadline for having any student loan application for which you have applied be included in the calculation of your fall semester cash advance.
- August 22 – Deadline to have direct deposit set up within your student account in order to receive a fall semester cash advance directly to your bank account.
- August 22: Deadline to have completed the Registrar’s check-in process and entered your contact and emergency information in HELIOS. (opens in early August)
- August 25 – Date you receive your fall semester cash advance (if qualified and you have direct deposit).
Returning Student Checklist
