Democracy Forward

Laura Aguilar will spend her fellowship year with Democracy Forward, where she will aid in the organization’s litigation, policy, regulatory advocacy, and coalition building work to defend individual rights and safeguard democracy.   

While at Harvard, Laura served as an Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review and Vice President of the American Constitution Society.  She participated in the Election Law Clinic and the Democracy and Rule of Law Clinic. During her summers, she interned with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and the Office of the White House Counsel.  

After law school, Laura clerked on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.  Before law school, Laura worked on the Hillary for America campaign and in the United States Senate, where she worked for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and for Senator Elizabeth Warren. She earned her B.A. in Government from Harvard College.
