Center for Biological Diversity
Oakland, CA
Jeremiah Scanlan will be serving as a Redstone Fellow at the Center for Biological Diversity. As part of the Center’s Endangered Species Program, he will be advocating for greater protections for biodiversity and imperiled species under the Endangered Species Act.
During law school, Jeremiah was a student attorney with the Harvard Animal Law & Policy Clinic, where he helped advocate for stronger protections for endangered species such as the African elephant. He also proposed a project that led to the Clinic submitting a letter to Harvard’s Office for Sustainability advocating for a campus-wide bird-safe building policy.
He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in International Relations in 2020 and at HLS served on the board of the Harvard Law Latter-day Saints.
In his free time you can find him birding, reading a fantasy novel, or helping to edit Wayfare magazine.
