Gender Equality Law Center (GELC)

New York, NY

Ellie Samuels grew up in the DC suburbs and is an alumni of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

After graduating from Emory in 2020, she worked on Capitol Hill as an intern for then-Senator Kamala Harris and a staff assistant for the late Senator Dianne Feinstein.

While at Harvard Law School, she worked at the intersection of gender equity and workers’ rights through her internships at the Gender Equality Law Center and Wigdor LLP.  She also served as a student attorney at Harvard’s Health Law and Policy Clinic and the International Human Rights Clinic, as well as the Vice President of Harvard’s Alliance for Reproductive Justice.

She is thrilled to return to the Gender Equality Law Center to begin her legal career as a PSVF fellow. As a fellow, she will be providing pro bono representation to New Yorkers experiencing gender and sexuality-based discrimination.

Ellie is passionate about dance, fantasy novels, and reproductive justice.
