As the Assistant Dean for Equal Opportunity, Sasha leads efforts to build community education and engagement around preventing harassment and discrimination in our learning and working environment. She oversees and manages our Title IX, Non-Discrimination, and Anti-Bullying processes and our Accessibility program; provides support for individuals who are impacted by misconduct; and designs education and awareness programs to foster a fully connected, informed, and inclusive community. Sasha joined HLS from the University of Rochester, where she served as Deputy to the President for three university presidents, and as chief of staff to the University Compliance Committee. She formerly worked as an attorney in the litigation departments at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Cooley LLP in New York.

Carolyn serves the HLS Equal Opportunity team by supporting students impacted by harassment and discrimination and assisting students with disabilities in accessing their education by helping to determine reasonable accommodations. Carolyn works with students on academic, housing, and event related accommodations and serves as a point of contact for general accessibility questions for faculty and staff. She previously served in the Dean of Students Office. Prior to HLS, Carolyn worked as a teacher providing services to students with special educational needs. In her downtime, Carolyn enjoys spending time at the beach and reading to her two little ones.

Jeremy’s focus as OEO’s Program Officer is to advise and counsel members of the HLS community with questions about HLS policies and procedures, direct community members to resources, and assist in the resolution of concerns. In addition, Jeremy contributes to OEO programming that fosters a supportive and inclusive HLS community. He enjoys connecting with others and utilizing strategic questions in order to motivate and guide students and colleagues toward solutions and success. Jeremy previously worked in a number of higher education settings and as a learning and development program facilitator. When Jeremy is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new neighborhoods in the Boston area, and relaxing with a good book.

In his role as an Equal Opportunity Specialist, Edgar works to expand programming and education of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging for the HLS staff community.  Originally, from Guaira, PR, Brazil, Edgar started working for Harvard University in October of 2003 as a landscaper. In September of 2005 he joined the HLS Facilities Maintenance Office supporting campus operations.  Edgar joined the HLS Dean of Students Office in May of 2014 where he was active in providing support to the DOS staff and student community and helping to direct students to resources.

Laurie is the Accessibility Services Specialist at HLS. Her focus is providing alternate format materials, managing assistive technology programs, and coordinating CART (Computer Access Realtime Translation) for students. Her goal is to provide access so that everyone can fully participate in the classroom environment. As a Library of Congress certified Literary Braille Transcriber, Laurie worked at the National Braille Press before joining HLS in 2016. In her spare time you can find her reading, re-watching The Good Place for the umpteenth time, and taking walks in the woods with her two golden retrievers.

Delaney joined Harvard Law School in May of 2023.  Delaney graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2021 where she studied Psychology. She is passionate about creating a friendly environment where all people feel welcome and included. Outside of work, Delaney loves to be outside or curled up reading a book.
