Workspace Equity (WE) Programming

OEO is committed to building and sustaining an engaged community and a culture of respect within the context of inclusive excellence. We value fairness, respect for the rule of law, and free inquiry, all of which require an environment of trust and mutual respect, free expression, and a commitment to lifelong learning. We utilize the following programming framework for engaging community members through connection, belonging, and capacity building.

WE Connect Programs

  • Establish trust through connection, empathy, and curiosity 
  • Connect HLS staff with others through developmental opportunities centered around inclusion topics, such as: 
    • Conversation Series
    • Constructive Dialogue Topics
    • Community-Building Spaces
    • Book Clubs

WE Belong Programs

  • Establish a deeper understanding of pluralist values, community-wide 
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps through a variety of belonging topic offerings, such as: 
    • Neurodiversity 
    • Wellness and Self-Care
    • Cultural Competence
    • Grief

WE Engage Programs

  • Establish ongoing capacity building customized for members of the HLS community 
  • Engage in skill-building opportunities to reinforce the important behaviors that build a respectful and inclusive community, such as: 
    • Difficult Conversations
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Dialogue Facilitation
    • Bystander Intervention
