Episode 16: Michael DeLuca

Michael DeLuca, Crew Chief, Harvard Custodial Services

In this episode, Edgar sits down with Mike DeLuca, from Custodial Services, who was born and raised in Massachusetts. Mike spent his childhood in Arlington, Medford, and Wilmington. Right after high school he worked at Burger King, Dunkin Donuts and FedEx. Eventually, he decided to go to Job Corps in Grafton, MA and took some plumbing class. From there he worked for a south Boston company, of a family friend, doing pipe fitting work for almost two years. He later found another job at United Automobile Worker and while working full time there, found a part time job at Harvard Smith Center. When another part time position opened at Harvard Athletic Center near Business School, Mike left his previous job at UAW. In 2021 Mike received an offer to work full time at HLS in custodial and recently was promoted to Crew Chief, where he frequently works with events in the WCC Milstein area as well as helping with exams setup request.

Some fun facts about Mike:
