Gemma Donofrio is a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer in Law at Harvard Law School. Her research focuses on reproductive justice, intimate partner violence, and bodily autonomy. Her current project examines how tort law conceptualizes reproductive harm. Her scholarship has appeared in the North Carolina Law Review and the N.Y.U. Review of Law & Social Change.
Prior to entering legal academia, Gemma was a civil rights lawyer at Relman Colfax PLLC. She also previously practiced at Latham & Watkins. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. David O. Carter in the Central District of California.
Gemma holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. from Haverford College. Before law school, she managed a domestic violence drop-in center and worked in anti-poverty policy advocacy.
