Amy J. Sennett

Amy Sennett is General Counsel at micro1, a hyper-growth, venture-backed data lab that helps train foundation models and improve AI agents. Micro1 combines AI research, data operations, and a global network of domain experts to create high-quality training and evaluation data across text, audio, video, and other modalities. In her role, Amy advises the company’s leadership team and Board of Directors on a wide range of corporate, commercial, AI governance, privacy, and employment matters.
Prior to joining micro1, Amy served as General Counsel at Karat, a technology unicorn focused on transforming workforce talent assessment and hiring. Before that, she was General Counsel for the cybersecurity business of OpenText, a global publicly traded information management software company. During her tenure, she rebuilt a fully remote legal team, integrated legal operations with the company’s global commercial function, and supported the acquisition and integration of multiple new product lines.
From 2017 to 2020, Amy held a series of legal leadership roles at Catalant Technologies, a venture-backed talent marketplace company based in Boston. After becoming General Counsel in 2019, she helped guide the company through its Series E equity and debt financing and built and managed its compliance, data privacy, and information security functions.
Amy began her legal career as a litigator at WilmerHale and served as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
She holds a JD/MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Princeton University. Amy is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, D.C.
An active leader in the legal profession, Amy has twice been elected to the Board of Directors of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts and received the organization’s Emerging Young Leader Award in 2022. She also recently served as the Washington, D.C., Chapter President of The L Suite, a leading peer community for technology company general counsel and chief legal officers.
