“State and Local Governments: Strategies to Advance Worker Protections” — Jerry Wurf Memorial Forum with Virginia Secretary of Labor Jessica Looman

In conjunction with the Harvard Trade Union Program (HTUP) and the Center for Labor and a Just Economy, annually a speaker is chosen for the Wurf Memorial Forum that is in line with the terms of the Jerry Wurf Memorial Fund’s ” commitment to improving the quality of lives of working people.” Established in memory of Jerry Wurf, the late President of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), this year, we welcome Jessica Looman, Virginia Secretary of Labor to discuss state and local strategies to protect workers’ rights.
