Regulating digital platforms for minors is a hot-button issue. On Thursday, November 05, Harvard Law School Brazilian Studies Association will welcome Pedro Hartung, co-CEO of Alana Institute, an organization that played a major role in shaping Brazil’s Digital Statute for Children and Adolescents. In light of Meta’s landmark multi-state settlement in the US, reached in August 2026, calling for important reforms to protect minors on social media, Pedro Hartung will join us, alongside Harvard Law School’s Professor Leah Plunkett, to discuss the evolving landscape of children’s rights in the digital world.
