We are holding tryouts for this year’s HLS Jessup team!
The Jessup is the oldest and largest inter-school moot court competition. It simulates a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, typically focusing on topical or ongoing debates in international law. Each school’s five-member team submits written memorials on the problems, and there are national and global mooting rounds in the spring. This is a phenomenal co-curricular for anybody interested in public international law, international arbitration, oral advocacy, or brief writing!
If you are interested, please note that we will hold an information session at
5:30 PM on Wednesday, September 10 in WCC 4061. We’ll give an overview of the Jessup competition, this year’s subject matter, and some more in-depth details of the HLS team tryout process. We will also have plenty of time for questions. If you are unable to attend the information session, please email
jessuphls@gmail.com for slides and tryout logistics.
