WCC 5052
DOS-CEEB will be conducting an information session about applying for a Community Connection Grant or to the President’s Building Bridges Fund on Tuesday, October 21, from 12:30-1 pm in WCC 5052.
Community Connection Grants
Introduced by Dean Goldberg last spring, the Community Connection Grant program (CCG) has been renewed for both the fall and spring semesters. The CCG builds on Harvard Law School’s long tradition of nurturing robust and respectful dialogue and debate by encouraging small group discussion across differences, the development of facilitation skills, and/or modeling constructive disagreement. It aims to foster activities that promote a well-informed, nuanced understanding of divisive legal and political issues; social events that build trust among members of groups who often find themselves in opposition; and experiences that help community members develop skills and methods for constructively engaging with one another on difficult topics.
The fall deadline for applying for a Community Connection Grant is October 30, 2025. Applications for the spring will be due in mid-February. In either case, funded initiatives must be completed within the 2025-2026 academic year.
Prospective applicants are asked to meet in advance with DOS-CEEB, which administers the program, so we can provide support, facilitate connections with HLS faculty experts, and/or identify additional resources within Harvard and beyond. For more information about the program, and to submit an application, please visit the Community Connection Grant program webpage.
President’s Building Bridges Fund
The President’s Building Bridges Fund, a University-wide program that supports student-led projects that enable the development of the skills necessary to respect, relate, and cooperate across lines of difference. Applications for the Building Bridges Fund are also due on October 30 and require a letter of support from the Dean of Students.
