Each year, the Harvard Law School Project on Disability (HPOD) welcomes the community to learn more about its ongoing research, capacity-building, and awareness-raising activities aimed at enabling civil society to undertake informed disability scholarship and advocacy across an array of issue areas. Join the HPOD team once again this year on September 17th, from 12:20 to 1:30pm US Eastern time, in the Morgan Courtroom, located on the third floor of Austin Hall.
Co-founders, Professors Bill Alford and Michael Stein, will be joined by HPOD’s Senior Director for East Asia Dr. Fengming Cui; Director of Advocacy Initiatives Hezzy Smith; and Self-Advocacy Associate Anne Fracht to discuss HPOD activities ranging from disability-inclusive climate action and research and disability legal scholarship in East Asia to participatory research designed and conducted with persons with disabilities and human rights reporting to United Nations treaty bodies on priority issues for persons with intellectual disabilities, and much more.
Boxed lunches and ASL interpretation will be provided.
