We invite the HLS community to a special evening event in which faculty will discuss the centrality of public service in the practice and study of law.
In conversation with each other, faculty will explore how their particular legal field(s) structure the public sphere, and the nature of public service entailed by being an attorney or scholar in those fields. They will also share how—as scholars and attorneys—they handle the kinds of intellectual and professional differences that fuel legal progress and support rule of law.

• Martha Minow: Moderator
• Guy-Uriel Charles & Ryan Doefler on legal structures of political power
• Benjamin Sachs & John Coates on legal structures of economic power
• Alexandra Natapoff & Alex Whiting on criminal law, state coercion and individual liberty
