For the past 9 years, Magaly Licolli has been working directly with poultry workers in different plants across Arkansas, particularly with Tyson workers, and can share firsthand worker accounts of current struggles and the abuse workers are exposed to every day while working to bring food to our table. Hear directly from Magaly about how she and poultry workers were able to build, during the height of the pandemic, the first worker-led organization to protect the human rights of poultry workers. Venceremos is actively organizing and mobilizing the community to build solutions that will address longstanding abuses faced by low-wage, predominantly female, workers in otherwise isolated poultry processing plants.
Co-sponsored by the Labor Rights Program.
A plant-based lunch will be available.
