You’re invited to meet with Soo-Yeon Choi LL.M. ’18 (CEO, NAVER Corporation) during her virtual office hours on Tuesday, November 19. Sign up for a 20-minute Zoom appointment.

Soo-Yeon Choi LL.M. ’18

Soo-Yeon Choi is the CEO of NAVER Corporation, Korea’s largest Internet company operating the No.1 search engine in Korea. Soo-Yeon spearheads the expansion of TEAM NAVER’s global business, fostering connections across a wide range of businesses and technologies. As CEO, Soo-Yeon provides necessary direction and makes decisions in various domains related to corporate operations, conducting not only internal personnel/legal reviews but also leading external communications. She also discovers new businesses/services for NAVER and serves as a bridge between NAVER, each subsidiary, and other companies to successfully lead domestic and international business expansion.

After graduating from Yonsei University Law School, Soo-Yeon worked as a corporate lawyer at Yulchon Law Firm for seven years, one of the most renowned law firms in Korea. Along with her career as a lawyer, she became a more professional and global legal expert by earning an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 2018. She rejoined NAVER in 2019 to lead global business initiatives and before being appointed CEO in 2022.

Choi holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and earth and environmental sciences from Seoul National University.
