Sengal Selassie is the CEO and Founder of Brightwood Capital Advisors. He has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its founding in 2010 and serves on the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee of Brightwood’s managed funds. He also serves on the boards of several Brightwood portfolio companies.

Before forming Brightwood, Mr. Selassie led Cowen Capital Partners, where he served as managing partner from 2006 to 2009. Previously, he worked at SG Capital Partners, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs. He holds an A.B. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
