Please join the Women’s Law Association’s International Policy Committee for a fireside chat with Ambassador Samantha Power, Anna Lindh Professor of the Practice of Global Leadership and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and William D. Zabel ’61 Professor of Practice in Human Rights at Harvard Law School.
Ambassador Power previously served as Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (2021–2025), where she led global efforts to combat corruption and democratic backsliding, respond to humanitarian crises, and support countries facing climate and conflict-related challenges, including Ukraine. She also served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (2013–2017) and as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights on the National Security Council (2009-2013).
The conversation will explore her career in international development and public policy, how her legal education informs her work, and reflections on current global challenges.
