The Graduate Program Office of Admissions and Financial Aid administers all aspects of the admissions processes for Harvard Law School’s LL.M., S.J.D., and Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher programs, as well as the financial aid and billing for the LL.M. and S.J.D. programs.

All LL.M., S.J.D., and Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher (“VS/VR”) applicants to the Harvard Law School Graduate Program must use the online application. For the following programs, your completed application and all supporting documents must be received by the Graduate Program no later than the deadlines as outlined below:

LL.M. Program

Deadline: December 1, 2020, preferably by November 15, 2020 (for the LL.M. class beginning in Fall 2021)
The LL.M. online application is now closed.

S.J.D. Program

Deadline: April 1, 2021 (for S.J.D. candidacy beginning in Fall 2021)
The S.J.D. online application is now closed.

Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher Program

Deadline: April 15, 2020 (for applicants wishing to begin research in September 2020)
The Fall 2020 VS/VR online application is now closed.

Deadline: September 15, 2020 (for applicants wishing to begin research in February 2021)
The Spring 2021 VS/VR online application is now closed and will open in mid-July 2020.
