Students enrolling in Fall-Spring groups are required to submit a signed Writing Group Registration Form to the Registrar’s Office.

Students interested in this writing group are encouraged to inform Professor Alford of their interest at their earliest convenience (ideally, in advance of the October deadline) so as to facilitate planning.

The group will meet twice in the fall semester to discuss what is involved in writing a strong research paper and to begin to explore topics. We will likely be joined at one session by one or more HLS librarians. The group will meet four times in the spring semester, so that each member has the opportunity to have both an outline and a draft discussed.

Professor Alford is also glad to meet students individually and welcomes your questions.
