Judge Wilson in the Central District of California is hiring externs for the fall 2021 semester. Externs will work under the supervision of Judge Wilson’s law clerks but will also have some opportunities to interact with Judge Wilson. Expected assignments include legal research, drafting orders, and drafting outlines in preparation for weekly status conferences. Externs can set their hours around their class schedules and work on their assignments at their convenience as long as they meet any applicable deadlines.
Interested individuals should submit the following materials: (1) resume, (2) transcript, and (3) writing sample. Materials should be emailed to Jasjaap_Sidhu@cacd.uscourts.gov. No formal cover letter is required, either as a standalone document or in the body of the email. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply soon, as externs will be hired on a rolling basis.
