Government Accountability Project is the leading international whistleblower protection and advocacy organization. By litigating whistleblower cases, publicizing whistleblowers’ disclosures, and developing legal reforms, our mission is to protect the public interest by promoting government and corporate accountability. Founded in 1977, we are a non-profit, non-partisan public interest legal organization that has helped thousands of whistleblowers raise the alarm on issues ranging from climate science censorship to unsafe food and drugs to nuclear safety threats to illegal surveillance of American citizens. Our most recent work with whistleblowers has exposed immigration detention abuses, the politicization of the Department of Justice and the U.S. Agency for Global Media, and accountability failures related to the Norfolk Southern rail disaster in East Palestine, Ohio.
This position is supervised by the Senior Director of Advocacy & Strategy, Dana Gold. Common projects will include creating content for the Democracy Protection Initiative, supporting advocacy partnerships, and assisting in Government Accountability Project’s work defending democracy. Writing-intensive work, including research and public-facing communications, will be common.
Applicants should demonstrate:

Enrollment
If accepted into the internships, students are required to meet with OCP advisor Sirrah Dobbert to go over the Independent Clinical Program application and requirements. Once the independent clinical application has been received and approved, OCP will coordinate registration for accepted students.
