Career Research and Resources

Every year, many students consult the employment evaluations submitted by their peers to research for their 1L job search and prepare for EIP bidding, callbacks, and offers. We ask that you please pay it forward to the 1L class by completing the Summer Employment Evaluation of your 2021 private sector summer work experience.

In our recent post, we highlighted for you some resources to begin your exploration of your career options. An additional useful resource right now is the Timeline for the 1L Job Search which provides guidance on what you should be doing from now through the spring semester. It is an easy-to-follow timetable to keep you paced in your exploration and search for summer employment.

Over the next few weeks, we will highlight some of our key resources to help you get started with your career exploration. We noted last week that your first stop should be the 1L Advising page. Your first semester of law school is a great time to reflect and do some self-assessment.

CSM is OCS’ online recruiting tool. In CSM, you can view and RSVP for OCS events and employer chats or receptions, search for and find job postings, and find many additional resources for your job search.
