Amy is a Clinical Instructor in the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau’s Housing Practice. She supervises students in eviction defense work, Section 8 terminations, affirmative conditions cases, movement cases, and housing appeals. Amy is passionate about the dynamics between minority identities and the practice of law and works with students to cultivate their professional identities while building litigation skills. Before coming to the Bureau, she was the Supervising Attorney for Housing and Appeals at the Volunteer Lawyers Project. She began her legal services career in 2012 as a Staff Attorney at Merrimack Valley Legal Services, now Northeast Legal Aid, representing tenants and homeowners in foreclosure-related litigation. Amy holds a J.D. from American University and a B.A. from Columbia University.
