Publius in our Time: Federalist Papers in our Contemporary Constitutional Moment
October 2, 2026
9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Pound Hall; 100 Lobby
JLPP will host a symposium, co-sponsored by the Pacific Legal Foundation, to test Publius’s vision against today’s reality. Were the Federalists right? Did the Constitution’s structure succeed in limiting power? Have the institutions of federalism, separation of powers, and factional competition worked as intended? Judge Jennifer Mascott, Professor Stephanie Barclay, and Professor Amanda Tyler will start off the discussion, followed by two more panels. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP.
