OFA Dance Open Studio: RootsUprising in Process

April 4, 2026

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Harvard Dance Center - Studio 2

66 Garden St.
Cambridge, MA

Posted on behalf of the Office for the Arts at Harvard

You’re invited to open, in-process rehearsals of a new work titled Witness Trees with RootsUprising Dance Company, created by choreographer Nailah Randall-Bellinger.  The work will be presented in the historic gardens and former plantation of Middleton Place in Charleston, SC, in the summer of 2026, and explores the symbiotic relationship between nature and the enslaved African laborers who lived and worked there.

These in-process rehearsals will include feedback prompts, Q&A, and discussion. Each one will be different and you’re encouraged to come to more than one!

Be in the room while art is made, and to be part of its shaping.

PLEASE RSVP

Accessibility: Harvard Dance Center is accessible for wheelchairs and mobility devices. For questions or additional accommodations, please contact dance@fas.harvard.edu or 617-496-0314.
