Meet the Judge: Hon. Rachel Wainer Apter, New Jersey Supreme Court

Join New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Rachel Wainer Apter (HLS ‘07) for a small group conversation facilitated by Prof. Martha Minow.

Justice Wainer Apter clerked for SDNY Judge Jed Rakoff, 2d Circuit Chief Judge Robert Katzmann, and SCOTUS Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She then continued her career as an appellate litigation associate for a private law firm, staff attorney for the ACLU, counsel to the Attorney General of New Jersey, and then director of the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. Learn about Justice Apter’s career, her work as a judge, and what it’s like to clerk on a state supreme court. There will be time for questions and discussion.
