Lunchless “Lunch & Learn”: Fasting Across Religious Traditions

March 2 marks a day when many religious communities are fasting in observance of Lent (Christianity), the Fast of Esther (Judaism), Ramadan (Islam), & the 19-Day Fast (Bahá’í). Join the Presidential Initiative on Interfaith Engagement for a no-food lunchtime panel discussing the role and meaning of fasting in each of these traditions.

Our panelists are Imam Khalil Abdur-Rashid, Rabbi Elisha Gechter, Father Vassilios Bebis, and Julian Cauzae.

Open to all current Harvard affiliates, students, faculty, & staff.
