About the presenter:
As Graduate Academic Coach since the ARC opened in 2019, Dorothy has developed an array of groups, panels, workshops, and online resources for graduate students. Between coaching at the ARC, and consulting for Harvard’s schools of Law, Business, Public Health, and Divinity for thirteen years before that, Dorothy has coached over 500 Harvard students on building habits, developing strategies, and making choices that support their goals, values, and wellbeing. Common coaching topics include planning, time management, self-regulation, focus, prioritizing, reading, and building accountability and support networks.
Dorothy has an AB in Comparative Literature from Brown, a JD from the University of Virginia Law School, and an ALM in Psychology from Harvard Extension School. She is a Certified Co-Active Coach. In a former career, she was an environmental lawyer and law professor. Dorothy’s key values include kindness, authenticity, environmental protection, lifelong learning, equity, and appreciating neurodiversity.
