Do you love public international law? Want to meet like-minded people? Want to be featured on
Harvard Law Today? Then consider joining the Jessup Moot Court Team!
The
Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competition, with over 700 teams participating each year. The Jessup Competition is an international law moot court: it simulates a fictional dispute between two countries before the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations. Teams that advance to the International Rounds will go to Washington, D.C. where they will have a chance to meet with and compete against teams from around the world. Jessup is a significant time commitment, and all team members will receive several academic credits throughout the school year.
If you’re interested in hearing more about the team, please join us at our
information session on 9/11, 6pm, in WCC 5048, where you can ask questions of the current team members (
please note that the application is due 9/12, 11:59pm). If you’ve heard enough and you’re ready to apply, you can find the
application here. Tryout materials will be released to you once we receive your application;
tryouts are scheduled for Sunday 9/15 and if necessary Monday 9/16.
