Damages Demystified: What Lawyers Always Wanted to Know—but Never Asked (Quadrants Economics)

February 12, 2026

12:30 pm - 1:15 pm

WCC; 1019 Classroom

This workshop introduces students to one of the most consequential—and often most feared—elements of arbitral practice: the quantification of damages. Designed for students interested in international arbitration and dispute resolution, this workshop will address how lawyers can present a persuasive case on quantum, even when they do not have a background in economics and finance. This interactive workshop is designed to help students feel more confident engaging with damages issues in international disputes. The workshop focuses on building intuition rather than technical mastery, giving arbitration practitioners a clearer understanding of how economic analysis fits into case strategy and real‑world arbitral practice.
Lunch will be provided!
