Harvard International Arbitration Conference Keynote: Claudia Salomon (President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration)

The 11th Harvard International Arbitration Conference takes place March 6-8, 2025 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This year’s theme, “Arbitration 100: Shaping the Next Century of International Dispute Resolution,” celebrates two significant milestones:

1. The 100th Anniversary of the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”), marked by a gala at the Harvard Faculty Club and a reception at the Harvard Law School Library – featuring the first-ever Special Collections Exhibit dedicated to international arbitration.
2. A forward-looking exploration of emerging trends and challenges shaping the future of international arbitration.

Opening Keynote: Claudia T. Salomon | President, ICC International Court of Arbitration

In July 2021, Claudia Salomon became the President of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Court), the first woman in this role in its 100–year history. Claudia is widely recognized as one of the leading arbitration practitioners of her generation, with more than 25 years’ experience representing parties in some of the most complex, high value and significant disputes. She brings her experience of representing clients to the Court, driving a client-centric mindset.

Claudia is also an independent arbitrator, specializing in international, investor–state and complex commercial disputes. She is a member of the New York Bar and a solicitor in England and Wales.

She graduated from Harvard Law School, cum laude, and Brandeis University, summa cum laude with honors. She also studied at Somerville College, Oxford University.
