What do you do after finding a particularly vexing case of double-speak, hypocrisy or inconsistency between Supreme Court cases, where the effects really hurt people? Call a friend? Call your therapist? Resolve to become a district court judge? How do you turn despair into useful work? Learn about the ConLaw anticanon and how to turn Supreme Court anger into action.

Each year the LPE Student Association asks professors to give hourlong lunchtime talks with a critical lens on how the law is shaped by, and in turn shapes, who has and does not have political and economic power. Our goal is to give students strategies and intellectual structures to challenge status quo systems of power in the 1L curriculum and to imagine what a legal curriculum that achieves racial, economic, and social justice would look like. Join us to hear from Professor Bowie about how to put your values into action in the classroom and beyond. Lunch will be served.
