The Human Rights and Business Students Association (HuB) is excited to host a panel event with Yousuf Aftab (Steptoe, NY); Sara Andrews (DLA Piper, Boston); and Ishita Petkar (Foley Hoag, NY). The panel event will be moderated by Professor Tyler Giannini.

Yousuf Aftab is a partner at Steptoe’s New York office, where he focuses on business and human rightsand sustainability law. Yousuf delivers strategic and innovative counsel to Fortune 100 companies, governments, and international organizations on sustainability issues.

Sara Andrews is the Senior International Pro Bono Counsel and Co-Director of New Perimeter, DLA Piper’s nonprofit affiliate that provides long-term pro bono assistance to advance justice and strengthen institutions to support a fairer, more sustainable, and prosperous world.

Ishita Petkar is a member of the firm’s International Litigation & Arbitration Department and Global Business & Human Rights practice. Ishita represents and advises sovereign States on matters involving public international law and international investment law. Ishita also advises sovereign and corporate clients on complex human rights and environmental and social governance issues.

Moderator: Tyler Giannini is a Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. His work focuses on Alien Tort Statute (ATS) litigation, business and human rights, human rights and the environment as well as communities and human rights.

The event will be held in person in WCC 3019 with catered lunch. This is an opportunity to gain insights into impactful careers, ask questions and hear firsthand about pro bono work, human rights, ESG, andglobal business risks in today’s world.
