    Join OPIA for a community discussion with Wasserstein Fellow and leading voting rights expert, Gerry Hebert, whose career includes nearly two decades in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and another two decades directing the Campaign Legal Center. Given the daunting challenges of the current political moment, students might rightfully question how to best use their law degree to effectively advance civil rights. Gerry will discuss pathways to impactful public service in government, nonprofit organizations, and private practice, as well as provide insights into how students can best position themselves to challenge regressive voting policies and preserve our democracy.
