Abstract: This article discusses politics in the U.S. and President George W. Bush's policies on the Iraq War. In January 2007, Congress drafted a nonbinding Congressional resolution condemning the president's plan to secure Baghdad by sending over 20,000 additional troops to Iraq. Senator Ted Kennedy has introduced legislation that would block the president from adding more troops without specific Congressional authorization.
