Abstract: The article presents the author's account of being excluded from recognition in the alumni activities of the Maimonides School, the Orthodox Jewish day school he attended in Massachusetts, because he married a woman who is not Jewish. He discusses the history and traditions of Orthodox Judaism and its relations with the modern world.
