Abstract: This volume is the product of a collaborative project by multiple authors, most of whom are affiliated with academic institutions in Germany. The book's chapters examine the culture of constitutionalism in France, Germany, the United States, and Mexico, with some glances at other nations in Latin America, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, again with some glances at later periods.
