Foreword
Dear Friends,
Ten years. A full decade since the Class of 2016 gathered in Langdell, parsing cases and testing arguments, convinced that the hardest cold calls were behind us. Time, of course, had other plans.
We graduated into a world already in motion: politically charged, economically uneven, morally complex. In the ten years since, that motion has accelerated. Institutions have been tested. Democracies strained. Technologies reshaped the practice of law. Entire industries have been born and disrupted. Through it all, we have not stood still.
This Red Book is not just a compilation of updates. It is a portrait of growth. It reflects careers built and rebuilt, bold pivots, entrepreneurial risks, public service, scholarship, advocacy, parenthood, partnership, loss, and resilience. It shows the quiet discipline of those who stayed the course and the courage of those who chose a new one.
Harvard Law School gave us tools: rigorous analysis, disciplined reasoning, the confidence to stand in a room and defend an idea. The past decade has demanded something deeper: judgment, humility, endurance, and integrity. If there is a throughline in these pages, it is that our class has stepped into responsibility in ways both visible and unseen.
As you read this book, I hope you feel pride, but also perspective. The law is a powerful instrument, but it is only as noble as the hands that wield it. The world we inherit is imperfect, but the world we leave is our contribution.
Reunions invite nostalgia, yes, but also recalibration. May this gathering renew old friendships, spark fresh collaborations, and remind us that while individual success matters, collective impact endures.
Ten years down. The next ten will test us even more. If our first decade is any indication, we are ready.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Dr. Sangu J. Delle
