Domestic Students: Please note that the Perkins loan program is being phased out by the government and only grant eligible returning students who meet certain criteria will qualify for the funding going forward. Those HLS grant recipients who do not qualify for Perkins loan funding will receive an HLS loan of an equal amount.

Required Supplemental Base Loan All Domestic HLS Grant Recipients $19,500 Complete a Federal Direct GradPLUS application or a Private Supplemental Educational Loan application August 5, 2016 This $19,500 is the minimum amount an HLS grant recipient must borrow through in order to secure your HLS grant funding.
Optional Supplemental Loan All Domestic  Students Student budget minus other aid Complete a Federal Direct GradPLUS application or a Private Supplemental Educational Loan application August 5, 2016 If you want to borrow both the base loan amount and the optional amount, you should complete one application for the total amount you wish to borrow.
