The Graduate Program Office of Admissions and Financial Aid administers all aspects of the admissions processes for Harvard Law School’s LL.M., S.J.D., and Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher programs, as well as the financial aid and billing for the LL.M. and S.J.D. programs.
All LL.M., S.J.D., and Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher (“VS/VR”) applicants to the Harvard Law School Graduate Program must use the online application. For the following programs, your completed application and all supporting documents must be received by the Graduate Program no later than the deadlines as outlined below:
Deadline: December 1, 2017, preferably by November 15, 2017 (for the LL.M. class beginning in Fall 2018)
The LL.M. online application is now closed and will open in early September.

Deadline: April 1, 2018 (for S.J.D. candidacy beginning in Fall 2018)
The S.J.D. online application is now closed and will open in February 2018.
Visiting Scholar/Visiting Researcher Program
Deadline: September 15, 2017 (for applicants wishing to begin research in February 2018)
The Spring 2018 Visitors online application is now closed and will open in mid-July.
Deadline: April 15, 2018 (for applicants wishing to begin research in September 2018)

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report Availability
The University is required by federal law (The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 20 U.S.C. 1092(f), known as the “Clery Act”) to publish an Annual Security Report and an Annual Fire Safety Report.
The Harvard University Police Department publishes the Annual Security Report, entitled “Playing it Safe,” which includes information about the HUPD, how to report a crime, HUPD’s crime prevention programs, substance abuse, sensitive crimes, emergency notifications, and other important information about security and HUPD services on campus. It also contains three years of statistics on reported campus or campus-related crimes. The Harvard University Environmental Health and Safety Department publishes the Annual Fire Safety Report, which includes fire safety polices, evacuation procedures, and fire statistics.
