Financial Aid: Expand Access. Empower Future Leaders.

Need-based financial aid helps ensure that talented students from all backgrounds can pursue an HLS education, regardless of financial circumstances. Annual Fund support also strengthens the Low Income Protection Plan (LIPP), empowering graduates to pursue careers in public service, government, academia, and other mission-driven fields.

Clinical Education: Turn learning into practice.

Harvard Law School’s clinical programs give students hands-on experience representing real clients, tackling complex legal issues, and serving communities around the world. The J.D. Class of 2026 contributed more than 384,000 hours of pro bono service, reflecting HLS’s deep commitment to experiential learning. Annual Fund support strengthens these transformative opportunities by investing in clinical programs, faculty, and practice-based education.

Public Service: Inspire careers that make a difference.

Harvard Law School instills a deep commitment to public service in every student. Many of our graduates pursue careers and internships in government, nonprofits, public interest organizations, and beyond—making a meaningful difference in communities worldwide.

Annual Fund support helps students and graduates pursue meaningful work in public interest law through programs like the Summer Public Interest Fund (SPIF), public service fellowships, and the Public Service Venture Fund—expanding access to careers that strengthen communities and advance justice.

Areas of Greatest Need: Power possibility wherever it matters most.

Support the Law School’s highest priorities by providing flexible funding that allows HLS to respond to emerging opportunities, address immediate needs, and invest where your gift can make the greatest impact.
