Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner Reginald “Reg” Brown advises companies and senior executives on investigations\, crisis management\, an d matters at the intersection of government\, law\, media\, and public poli cy. Chambers Band One rated in both Crisis Management and Congressional Inv estigations\, he has assisted clients with more than 150 congressional inqu iries\, as well as numerous federal\, state\, and international investigati ons and crisis matters. He also leads teams responding to significant Depar tment of Justice\, State Attorneys General\, and other regulatory and enfor cement matters for leading financial institutions\, investment firms\, ener gy companies\, government contractors\, healthcare organizations\, technolo gy companies\, universities\, CEOs\, and public officials.
Reg previo usly served in the White House Counsel’s Office under President George W. B ush\, where he was the principal legal liaison to the Departments of Treasu ry and Housing and Urban Development and several independent financial serv ices agencies. He also advised the White House Office of Political Affairs\ , Presidential Personnel Office\, and National Economic Council. Earlier in his career\, Reg served as Deputy General Counsel to Florida Governor Jeb Bush\, Special Assistant to the CEO of Nationwide Insurance\, and as a Peac e Corps Volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia.
An honors gr aduate of Yale and Harvard Law School\, Reg lives in Northern Virginia. He serves on the nonprofit boards of the George W. Bush Presidential Center\, the Property and Environment Research Center\, and the Foundation for Excel lence in Education\, as well as on the board of Blackstone\, the world’s la rgest private equity firm.
