The HLS Alumni Center presents a l unchtime talk with Christopher Keyser J.D. '85. This event is part of the < /strong>Traphagen Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series\, where HLS alumni speak informally about their careers.
Chris Key ser began his career as a political speechwriter and was the chief speechwr iter for Governor Bruce Babbitt’s presidential campaign in 1988. Chris then transitioned to television and has been the creator\, showrunner and Execu tive Producer of numerous television series\, including Party of Five. Since then\, he has shepherded Significant Others\, Time of Your Life\, Lone Star\, Tyrant\, The Last Tyc oon\, the remake of Party of Five\, The Society\, an d Julia.
From 2011-2015\, Chris served as President of the W riters Guild of America\, West. He also served as the co-chair of the 2023 Negotiating Committee\, as well as the co-chair of the Agency Campaign Nego tiating Committee. He currently serves as board member or trustee of Hollyw ood\, Health and Society\, The Humanitas Prize\, The I Have a Dream Foundat ion\, Los Angeles\, and The Entertainment Community Fund.
Chris is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
