Professor Intisar Rabb is accepting applications for Fall 2021 student research assistants for general research related to Islamic law, and projects at the Program in Islamic Law (PIL) at Harvard Law School.

Research Assistants for Environmental & Energy Law Program (EELP)

September 15, 2021

EELP seeks research assistants to help with various projects involving federal environmental and climate regulations, environmental justice, and climate resilience efforts this Fall. We have multiple positions available for students to work with our attorneys to track and analyze the Biden administration’s regulatory and environmental justice efforts and research legal issues related to them. We also have a project that will inform potential climate resilience efforts in Boston, and a project on climate-related financial risk, among others.

International Human Rights Clinic seeking RA with knowledge of Islamic law

September 14, 2021

We are currently looking for a research assistant with knowledge of Islamic law to support our collaborative work with a women’s rights advocacy organization in Afghanistan. The RA will be expected to conduct research on Islamic jurisprudence and legal standards on given specific topics, compile or draft short analytical pieces, and edit short policy papers that integrate Islamic legal analysis and advocacy writing for the use of our local partners. The ideal candidate would have taken a course in Islamic law and has working proficiency in either Arabic, Farsi, or Dari.
