The HLS Space Scheduling System will be offline the morning of Wednesday, August 9 from 5am – 7am. The system will reopen at 7am, at which point you will be able to access EMS as usual.

The Emerging Leaders program is now accepting applications for the 2017 - 2018 Program. Created for staff by staff, the program meets once a month for conversations and educational sessions on a variety of leadership topics. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, August 16.

The HLS Joint Council Ice Cream Social and Volleyball Tournament is Wednesday, August 9. This will be the 3rd Annual Volleyball Tournament, and the first two have produced spirited action and lots of fun for players and spectators alike! Facilities and Finance have been the first two champions – who will take home the crown this time?

Please join us September 15-16, for HLS in the Arts, two jam-packed days of programs, performances, and exhibits featuring the contributions and talents of HLS students, staff, and alumni in the visual arts, music, literature, film, and television. Register today!

The HLS Space Scheduling System will be off-line from 9am Monday, July 24 through 9am on Monday, July 31. No full service room requests may be placed during this outage; please plan accordingly. Beginning at 9am on Monday, July 31, the HLS community will be able to book classrooms for the Fall Term 2017.

All EMS services will be down on the morning of Monday, June 19, and no new reservations can be made from the 19th through the 22nd. The upgrade will bring enhanced security and a new, user-friendly interface. To assist with the transition to the new web application, we will offer two training sessions.

The Benefits Office has partnered with the Harvard University Credit Union on a summer series of Financial Education Workshops covering topics such as emergency funds, credit scores, and debt repayment. Workshops are open to all employees, even if you are not a member of the credit union. Register today!

We invite you to support the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program with an underwear briefs donation drive that helps deliver a daily essential to homeless men and women in Greater Boston. To donate, please bring new packages of men’s or women’s underwear to one of the donation bins in OCP or HR between now and June 15.

The HLS Bicentennial team is collecting student, staff, and faculty submissions for possible inclusion in the HLS in the Arts festival. There are three opportunities to submit, but hurry - deadline has been extended to Monday, June 5!

The HLS Bicentennial wouldn’t be a proper celebration without staff voices. To help illustrate the school’s rich history, we invite you to share your favorite memories, from personal anecdotes to the impact HLS has had on your life and career. Make an appointment to stop by May 30-June 1.

Please complete and submit your online self-evaluation. You and your supervisor should then set a meeting to discuss your performance feedback and your goals/priorities for the upcoming year. Once you have met with your supervisor, please complete the online approval process. All performance evaluations must be marked “complete” in PeopleSoft by Thursday, June 1.

As the weather warms up, this is a perfect time for a reminder that HLS has a softball team - “Justice League” - and is putting the word out to all staff members who may be looking to play this summer!

Would you like a professional quality photo, free of charge? Pictures taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and are yours to keep and use whenever you would like! The photo shoot will be Tuesday, May 16 from 8am-2pm in Harkness Lounge.

For the Class Day Award Ceremony, HLS staff can nominate students who have made outstanding contributions during their time at the school. Deadline is Friday, May 5.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the Class Day and Commencement Day Activities. Join us in saying goodbye to the Class of 2017, and be a part of the fun these days bring to HLS!
