Independent Clinical Credit option for 2L’s and 3L’s – Spring 2020 Communities for Restorative Justice:

One or two clinical credits (representing 4 or 8 hours per week) of independent clinical credit may be available for the spring term to work with Communities for Restorative Justice on criminal cases in Boston referred to restorative diversion. Students would participate in opening and closing circles, meet weekly with one or two responsible parties to work with them on fulfilling their restorative agreement, and have the option of attending bi-weekly case coordinator meetings where current cases in the program are discussed. Students will also meet periodically in a group with Professor Lanni to discuss their cases and the practice of restorative justice. Independent clinical credit is ideally taken in conjunction with Professor Lanni’s spring 2020 Restorative Justice seminar.

Spring elective registration opened this morning at 9am and will close at 12pm on Monday, October 28.

Interested students can attend a lunchtime information session on Monday, November 4 in WCC 4061 at 12pm and/or contact Professor Lanni ( for more information about this potential opportunity.
